Problem solving for kids

Did you solve the problem you meant to?

Problem solving for kids

This video series covers assumptions, the idea that problem solving is an adventure, getting from a wrong answer to the right one, and how this applies to real world situation like conflict with a friend.

There's also a teacher video to explain some potential classroom activities to try after going through the series.

The core idea: When someone makes a mistake, we usually say they got the wrong answer to the problem. I like to think of it as you solved a different problem than you meant to, and now you just have to figure out the difference between the one you did solve and the one you started with.
